Ammonite Specimen ~
A beautiful example of the Fibonacci spiral exhibiting itself in nature, the Ammonite is a shelled nautilus that was part of a now extinct group of invertebrate marine animals. These fully intact Ammonite shell fossils have a sandy coloring and small spots on their surface with a very slight luster. They exhibit ridges along the outside of their classically curved, spiral shape.
