Ammonite Specimen ~
A beautiful example of the Fibonacci spiral exhibiting itself in nature, the Ammonite is a shelled nautilus that was part of a now extinct group of invertebrate marine animals. These Ammonite fossils exhibit deep ridges and the classic spiral shape. Due to the nature of these raw fossils, they leave behind a dusty calcium residue and have abrasions on their surface. Each specimen measures between 1.75 inches and 2 inches.
