A beautiful example of the Fibonacci spiral exhibiting itself in nature, the Ammonite is a shelled nautilus that was part of a now extinct group of invertebrate marine animals. These Opalized Ammonite fossil specimens have been sliced directly in half and have a highly polished front and a raw back. The raw backside often has an opalized area with a unique rainbow sheen. These run in a wide range of golden color hues and intricate designs. Each one is natural and will have its own individual traits. We offer these in multiple sizes in both a single slice, or a matching pair of slices.
