Authentic Raw Blue Jelly Opal Specimen (Gram Weight) ~
This translucent hydrophane opal from Ethiopia has a distinct blue body tone, its jelly-like structure refracting light in layered, fluid hues due to high water content and internal microstructure. With light to deep blue tones, these translucent Jelly Opal specimens exhibit an inner light that glows in any lighting - and often have shimmering rainbow inclusions as well. These opals have some rough areas where the nodules were embedded in the ground and residual clay residue, which is a normal trait for Opals of this variety.
This listing is for ONE (1) intuitively chosen crystal. Each piece has been handpicked and examined for quality. The photography used is a representation of our collection, the unique specimen you receive will be similar to the stones pictured and will have its own individual traits. Specimens categorized by weight don’t have specific size measurements provided, as each piece has a different shape and mass.
Opals are a magical crystal known for their incredible flash of rainbow colors. Opals carry an undeniable magic and are powerful talismans, sparking creativity and inspiration! An amorphous form of silica, Opals contain water in their structural makeup - this makes them relatively soft, falling at approximately 5.5 on the Mohs scale. Opals have a long history that ranges throughout many different cultures; there are stories of it being used as riches, to treat physical ailments, as a token of good luck, and even as a tool to achieve invisibility.
