This rare offering of Quartz from the Republic of Congo exhibits terminations with phantom inclusions of Smoky Amethyst coloring. The purple hue is fairly dark until backlit, where the layers of colors become apparent. There is a range of coloring in these specimens, from lighter purple to more smoky hues, each having unique characteristics. These may contain abrasions from mining but stand out as rare, worthy inclusions to our collection. These specimens have been lightly oiled with pure olive oil to bring out their very best hues. This passive treatment can be easily removed with warm soapy water if you choose.
