This Moldavite tektite has a classic pitting and a glowing green translucence. Angel Chimes are a special type of impact glass, named after the angelic sound that they make. These tektites have a high internal tension caused by a quick cooling process. This high tension creates a strong vibration in the impact glass. By gently tapping these special tektites against glass, metal, or another crystal, you can hear their unique chime. This specimen measures approximately 36mm by 17mm by 5mm and weighs 3.31 grams.
