This raw Moldavite tektite specimen from the Czech Republic has striations, a deep crevice, and glows with a classic bright green translucence. Angel chime tektites are a special type of impact glass, named after the chiming sound that they make. These tektites have a high internal tension caused by a quick cooling process. This high tension creates a strong vibration in the impact glass. By gently tapping these special tektites against glass, metal, or another crystal, you can hear them sing! This specimen measures approximately 10mm by 7mm by 7mm and weighs 0.72 grams.
