This olive-green Moldavite tektite specimen from the Czech Republic has an elongated shape with a protruding arm and exhibits classic craters on its raw surface. Angel chime tektites are a special type of impact glass, named after the chiming sound that they make. These tektites have a high internal tension caused by a quick cooling process. This high tension creates a strong vibration in the impact glass. By gently tapping these special tektites against glass, metal, or another crystal, you can hear them sing! This specimen measures approximately 19mm by 5mm by 5mm and weighs .49 grams.
