This delicate Moldavite tektite has a classic green translucence with a naturally etched surface. With a freeform shape, this specimen from the Czech Republic is completely unique. Angel chime tektites are a special type of impact glass, named after the chiming sound that they make. These tektites have a high internal tension caused by a quick cooling process. This high tension creates a strong vibration in the impact glass. By gently tapping these special tektites against glass, metal, or another crystal, you can hear them sing! This specimen measures approximately 14mm by 8mm by 6mm and weighs .73 grams.
