Opalized Ammonite Fossil Specimen ~
We were FINALLY able to restock a few more of these beauties - but they'll be fleeting I'm sure! These Opalized Ammonite specimens from Madagascar have a beautiful iridescent rainbow sheen. This natural opalization is a rare effect that is sometimes seen on these ancient fossils. You can expect that these Ammonite fossils may have chips or small abrasions, a normal characteristic of these natural specimens.
This listing is for ONE (1) intuitively chosen crystal. Each piece has been handpicked and examined for quality. The photography used is a representation of our collection, the unique specimen you receive will be similar to the stones pictured and will have its own individual traits.
The Ammonite is a shelled nautilus that was part of a now extinct group of marine invertebrate mammals. It is a beautiful example of the Fibonacci spiral exhibiting itself in nature, as in the classic nautilus shell. They sometimes grow with a beautiful opalized sheen around the outside of the shell.
