During fossilization, mineral-rich groundwater moved through the wood and deposited minerals within the spaces of the original cellular tissues. This process preserved details of the wood’s original structure, including grain and cellular patterns, while gradually adding mineral material. These fragile specimens are offered as a set of 3 pieces set together in a gem jar.
