These Purpurite stones have been tumbled to a smooth polish and have a deep purple coloring that is classic to this material. These high-quality crystals sometimes exhibit a chatoyant effect, causing them to shimmer in the light. Purpurite is a softer stone that can become messy with a purple powdery surface, and for that reason these specimens have been coated to ensure they make perfect pocket companions. Each specimen measures approximately .5 inches.

Very pretty but not as purple as you might think
I love the purpurite stone! It's one of my favorites and I love that this one is polished because otherwise the purple pigment comes off over time. Thanks so much!

The misrepresentation of the stones that I received was pretty egregious. Color, Size, and Texture were all exaggerated in the example photos. I didn't expect an exact; but you could've come close. Instead I got 2 California Raisins from the early 90's.
