These small Pyritized Ammonite shells have a deep bronze coloring with a slight sheen. These golden fossils range from partial to full spiral shapes, varying between ridged or smooth surfaces.
Each SMALL specimen measures approximately 10mm. Each MEDIUM specimen measures approximately 15mm.

The Ammonite is a shelled nautiloid that was part of a now extinct group of marine invertebrate mammals. It is a beautiful example of the Fibonacci spiral exhibiting itself in nature, as in the classic nautilus shell. They often grow a beautiful opalized sheen around the outside of the shell. In this case it was replaced with pyrite, leaving a beautiful and golden shimmer to the fossil.
