These Herkimer Diamond Quartz come to us directly from the mine owner in Herkimer, New York. These rough specimens still retain mud and remnants from their crystal pocket finally getting exposed to light and loaded in a bucket. Most of these crystals include fractured areas, but they hold amazing evidence of skeletal growth, crystal ribbing, rainbows, and etched self-healing. We considered these a great value and an opportunity to get a big chunk of authentic Herkimer Diamond in the collection.
