Twiga Agate is a newer material from Tanzania, consisting of white chalcedonic agate with irregular natural areas of darker coloration. The name Twiga comes from the Swahili word for giraffe, referring to the patterning that can resemble giraffe markings. These agate nodules are primarily intact but may include small nicks or abrasions from the mining process.
