These unique Tanzanite crystals are from a small collection I'm making available and exhibit a mix of hues, with natural taupe coloring as well as some typical deep indigo tones. Most tanzanite on the market (over 95%) is heat-treated to enhance its vivid violet-blue color. This process mimics natural heating underground. Untreated tanzanite occurs in a range of hues, typically more earthy or muted, such as taupe, bronze, olive, violet-gray, or pale lilac. These specimens are much rarer and often coveted by collectors looking for untouched specimens. This listing is for a single specimen, offered by carat weight, all of which show terminated faces and crystal structure.
