Hyalite contains trace amounts of uranium within its silica structure, causing it to have a bright fluorescent glow. These gemmy Hyalite Opal specimens from Mexico have a vivid green glow when they're exposed to UV rays and remain translucent crystals in incandescent light. This specimen showcases distinctly botryoidal growth with a glowing translucence atop a speckled grey matrix and has sliced sides and a flush base - making it a perfect display piece! This specimen measures 47mm by 31mm and weighs 51 grams.
