This 37.43 gram raw, green-blue Vivianite specimen from deep in the jungle of Bolivia has extreme translucence and vivid coloring with pleochroism. This fragile specimen is just 1.5-2 on the hardness scale, so it is quite fragile and to be handled with care. It will retain its coloring best out of direct sunlight, as the iron content can tarnish and darken the color in the sun. This specimen represents a high-grade example of this sought-after collector’s mineral. It measures approximately 85 x 21 x 17 millimeters.
