This 92.41 gram raw, green-blue Vivianite cluster specimen from Bolivia has translucence and vivid coloring with pleochroism. It has a unique and rare "dragon scale" spray of terminations, stepped and etched. These blades are attached to a base of botryoidal chalcedony with soft matrix stone on the underside. This fragile specimen is just 1.5-2 on the hardness scale, so it is quite fragile and to be handled with care. It will retain its coloring best out of direct sunlight, as the iron content can tarnish and darken the color in the sun. This specimen represents a high-grade example of this sought-after collector’s mineral. It measures approximately 5 by 2 by 1.25 inches.
